Bain-Marie Copper Alembic 10 L

A bain-marie alembic heats the boiler indirectly: the inner boiler sits in a water jacket, so the mash is warmed by hot water rather than direct flame. Nothing can stick to the bottom or scorch. That makes it the safest choice for thick mashes, honey, fruit purées and delicate aromatic distillations.

Capacity and yield

• Boiler: 10 L
• Single distillation: about 1–2 L per run from a 10% ferment
• With a rectification lens (sold separately): about 0.75–1.5 L at ~75% ABV

Construction

• 1.2 mm hand-hammered copper
• Water jacket for indirect heating

Heat source not included. Use a gas burner or an electric hotplate of the right size (copper does not work on induction).
