A traditional copper cauldron (caldero) for jams, sauces, sweets and slow stews. Copper conducts heat about five times better than steel, so the whole pot heats evenly and nothing catches on the bottom.

Care: wash by hand and dry straight away. Copper darkens naturally over time and can be brought back to a shine with a copper cleaner or lemon and salt. Do not leave acidic food standing in copper, and never heat an empty tin-lined pan. Copper does not work on induction hobs.
