Polyvalent Copper Alembic 3 L

A versatile copper still for both alcohol and aromatic distillation. Distil fruit or wine as with a classic alembic, or put herbs and flowers in the column for steam distillation of hydrosols and essential oils. A good first still for anyone who wants to try both.

Capacity and yield

• Boiler: 3 L
• Spirit distillation: about 300–450 ml per run from a 10% ferment
• Plant column: 200 g per load, 200–1000 g per distillation
• Hydrosol: about 2–3 L · essential oil: about 10–12 ml per run

Construction

• 0.7 mm hand-hammered copper
• No lead or harmful substances

Heat source not included. Use a gas burner or an electric hotplate of the right size (copper does not work on induction).
