Specific yeast for fermenting sugar to create base alcohol, each 135 g is for fermenting 25 liters of must (also for molasses, brewer’s sugar, glucose or sugar juices).
This is the fermentation turbo yeast that reaches a higher alcohol content (18-21%) than others we have.
Easily reaches 18% if the instructions are followed.
We present Turbo Pure 48h Yeast of 1 kg, ideal for the fermentation of mash and alcohol base, but not recommended for fruit brandy.
With a maximum dose of 5.4 grams of yeast per liter (0.7 oz./gallon), this yeast is capable of easily producing an alcohol content of up to 18%, and if glucose is used, it can even reach 20%. %, as long as the liquid temperature is maintained between 20 and 25 °C during fermentation.
Below, we present the instructions to use this yeast in a quantity of 25 liters:
1. Dissolve 6-8 kg (13-17 lbs) of sugar in 8 liters (2 US gallons) of hot water. Make sure the sugar has completely dissolved before continuing.
2. Fill the rest of the container to 25 liters (6.6 US gallons) with cold water.
3. Make sure the temperature of the liquid is below 39°C (102°F) and then add the Turbo Yeast.
4. Let ferment at room temperature, between 20 and 30 °C (68 to 86 °F), for 2 to 7 days. It is important to note that for pure fermentation, the air temperature should not exceed 30°C (86°F).
Below, we provide you with the recommended amounts of sugar and yeast for different volumes of liquid:
– 25 liters: 6 kg of sugar, 135 grams of yeast.
– 50 liters: 12 kg of sugar, 270 grams of yeast.
– 100 liters: 24 kg of sugar, 540 grams of yeast.
– 200 liters: 48 kg of sugar, 1080 grams of yeast.
– 300 liters: 75 kg of sugar, 135 grams of yeast.
– 350 liters: 84 kg of sugar, 1485 grams of yeast.
– 400 liters: 96 kg of sugar, 1620 grams of yeast.
– 500 liters: 120 kg of sugar, 1890 grams of yeast.
– 600 liters: 144 kg of sugar, 2025 grams of yeast.
– 700 liters: 168 kg of sugar, 2160 grams of yeast.
– 800 liters: 192 kg of sugar, 2295 grams of yeast.
Add the yeast and stir for 2 minutes or until completely dissolved.
Then, let it ferment at a temperature of 25-30ºC until the fermentation process is complete.
