A modular copper still with a rectifying column on top of the boiler. The column holds a stack of 4″ plate (valve) sections and a tubular pre-condenser. Vapour is condensed and re-evaporated on each plate, so it comes out as a clean, high-strength spirit of around 90% ABV in a single run. That suits neutral spirit for gin, liqueurs and vodka-style spirits.
Modular alembics are built from separate copper modules (boiler, head, columns, condensers) joined with stainless steel tri-clamp fittings. You start with a basic still and add parts later: a gin basket, a rectifying column or extra plates. You never have to replace the whole unit.
